Academics

Phani is a Professor at the IDC School of Design, IIT Bombay, India. After an 18-year career in the animation and gaming industries, he transitioned to academia in 2009. Over the past 16 years, he has been deeply engaged in teaching and mentoring students at IDC School of Design , IIT Bombay.

With extensive experience in production, planning, and administration within both domestic and international animation and gaming projects, Phani brings a wealth of practical knowledge to the classroom. His teaching encompasses Animation Design and Production, Animation Principles, Character Design, Sketching, Game Design, and Illustration.

Phani has also served as a Visiting Professor at several design institutes across India. Updates on his academic activities are available through his blog.
